SCEMD plans to apply for the new federal Safeguarding Tomorrow Revolving Loan Fund program, which if awarded, will provide funding to establish a revolving loan program to support hazard mitigation projects in South Carolina. Key basics:
• Eligible entities are county and local governments, including special purpose districts, that are covered by an approved local hazard mitigation plan.
• The deadline to submit a letter of interest form to SCEMD, which is required to be considered for inclusion in the state’s Intended Use Plan and application, is April 14. The form is included in the attachment.
• This information, along with the project letter of interest form, also are available on the SCEMD web site at
https://scemd.org/stay-informed/notices-and-agenda/ under Notices.
