Disaster Assistance Workshop (DAW)

Course Description:     This workshop is designed to increase the ability of local governments (counties, cities, towns, public service districts, etc.) to recover from disasters or major emergencies through knowledge of federal and state programs and services. Topics to be discussed include the Disaster Declaration Process, Damage Assessment, Public Assistance Program, Individual Assistance Program, and the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program.

Who Should Attend:     Mayors, City & County elected officials, Administrators, and Department Heads, (including public works, finance/treasures, purchasing, assessors/auditors, water/sewer, and others); Planning Staff; Building Official; Public Service & Special Purpose District Commissioners & Administrators; School District Officials, County Emergency Preparedness/Management Directors and Staff, State Agency Program Managers, and others whose departments may be affected by disasters.
There is no fee to attend this workshop.  There is no travel reimbursements for this one day workshop.
