Event Description

ICS Train the Trainer (L449)

This course requires pre-course work and will close 30-days prior to the start date. There will a virtual student meeting you must attend and a pretest you must pass with a score of 80% or above. Students will be expected to complete assignments before attending the course and homework will be assigned during the course. 

Note: No travel reimbursement will be offered for this class.

Course Description - Student MUST ATTEND ALL 5 Days to receive credit. All students will be waitlisted until prerequisites have been validated by the training officer and instructors. 

This 5 day course prepares participants to deliver the Emergency Management Institute’s (EMI) ICS 300 Intermediate Incident Command System, ICS 400 Advanced Incident Command System and ICS/EOC Interface Workshop (G191). While ICS-100 and ICS-200 courses are addressed, the major emphasis is on ICS-300 and ICS-400. Participants must have a working knowledge of ICS through experience and training, and be experienced in adult training. 

 Prerequisites:     All course prerequisites must be submitted: ICS 300, ICS 400, and ICS/EOC Interface must have a completion date after 2019.

ICS 100 Introduction to the Incident Command System (most current version)

ICS 200 Basic Incident Command System (most current version)

ICS 300 Intermediate Incident Command System (since 2019)

ICS 400 Advanced Incident Command System (since 2019)

IS 700 An Introduction to the National Incident Management System (most current version)

IS 800 An Introduction to the National Response Plan (most current version) 

G 191 Incident Command System (ICS)/Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Interface Workshop (since 2019)

Formal Instructor Training (G141 instructional facilitation skills, Fire Instructor 1, other certifications by exception)

Two (2) Incident action plans demonstrating experience at the command or general staff level
