After the events earlier in 2025 in other parts of the country, we recognize the need to discuss flooding potential and concerns around different community interest areas near those riverine areas. This workshop is geared towards individuals who work in the response phase of a flooding disaster. We will talk through the science and necessary information needed to have in order to plan for flooding events, walk through the SC Flood Impact tool and its analysis capabilities in a storm, and translate the science to practical emergency management practice and discuss response operations through a tabletop exercise.
All registrants will be waitlisted until the week before the workshop. We will try to accommodate everyone, however space is limited.
Students who attend will receive a certificate and 1.5 hours of CEU's from Association for Floodplain Management (ASFPM)
