Course Description:
Damage assessment training will provide a broad overview of the goals of and procedures for conducting damage assessments, with an emphasis on the role of damage assessment in accessing federal disaster assistance. Topics to be discussed include the federal disaster declaration process and data requirements for FEMA’s Public Assistance and Individual Assistance Programs.
Who Should Attend:
Members of local damage assessment teams, and other local and county government representatives who may be involved in the assessment or disaster recovery process.
Admin Notes:
There is no fee to attend this two-hour workshop. For in-person offerings, no travel reimbursement is available. For virtual offerings, participants must log in via a browser or the WebEx app (phone-only participation is insufficient).
